Caecilia competed on the WTA Tour in the late 1990s, while still active in junior competitions. A top Swiss player, she reached a national ranking of No. 4 and won 11 Swiss Championship titles. In 1999, she notably represented Switzerland in a Fed Cup World Group tie against Slovakia, featuring in both singles and doubles matches. As a junior, she took part in major international tournaments, including the Grand Slams, and advanced to the girls’ doubles semi-finals at the 1998 US Open. Her playing career came to an early end due to a persistent shoulder injury.
